Installed new Apple Watch Series 10 update to watchOS 11.6 (22U84), now battery dies in hours!

Hi all, I installed the new iWatch update to 11.6 (22U84) on Thursday and now my battery dies in hours! Its crazy. I took it today to Best Buy and they ran diagnostics and agreed, but then it seemed to stabilize. Now it's back again! Anyone else having crazy issues after the update?

It will take 24-48 hours for the new operating system to finish its house keeping, as well as resync things it wants from the iPhone.

Power cycle the Apple Watch and your iPhone (at least once, but maybe once or twice a day until the Apple Watch battery consumption returns to normal.

For some steps that are not in the MacObserver article.

iPhone -> “Watch” app -> General -> Reset -> Reset Sync Data

Again it may take a day or two for the rsync’ing of data to settle down.
