After updating to iOS 18.6, Siri doesn’t respond anymore, like when asking simple questions like what’s the weather or what time is it. Just blank, I also have the settings turned on for Siri to read out texts, but no sound.(Airpod pro 2) Anyone else having problems?

I have 18.6.2 and after trying the helpful suggestions above, I found that turning off then retraining Siri didn’t work, but turning off, toggling off the button just below that says something like “allow side button”, turning the phone off, then back on, then toggling the allow side button back on then retraining Siri worked like a charm. Good luck fellow Applers!
Go to Settings > Siri > Talk and Type to Siri > Turn it Off then back on to Siri or Siri and Hey Siri. This will reset and re-train Siri’s recognition of your voice to better respond to it when you read the prompts aloud.
Handsfree Siri stopped responding after the ios 18.6 update. Out of the car, it works fine. I've done all of the usual attempts to fix it. Turned Siri off and on, turned bluetooth off and on, restarted the phone, hard restart, etc.
I reinstalled iOS 18.6 on my iPhone 16 Pro and the handsfree function for Siri still doesn't work in the car. Immediately after I ask a simple question such as "What time is it?" Siri doesn't respond and the infotainment system returns to the radio. I wonder if there will be an iOS 18.6.1 fix for this, or will we be stuck until the next major release?
18.6.1 appears to have resolved this issue.

Basar's Iphone ~ Your iPhone XS could be 7 years old and the long process of applying an iOS update to an iPhone with a weak, aging battery can be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back." So...
Does your iPhone XS still have its original battery?
And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Nothing works. No sound from the phone and no sound in the car.... UGH.

Using the new 18.6.1 update, I Get a message stating to “open Siri”
I tell it to open Siri even though it’s open and usually a request works.
