Tesla solar app installation discrepancy in purchase history

I had Tesla solar installed and the tech (Paul) said I need to install the app from his tablets the one from the App Store would not work for solar. I did so. A while later, got a new phone and the Tesla app was not in my app purchase history. I downloaded the app from the App Store and it did work. N ow when I reset my phone, the app is never in my purchase history. Did I get social engineered hacked?
