Does the A2462 iPad model bought in China support eSIM in the United States. I try airlo but it says not compatible but everything i check says i can.

Typo? Are you possibly getting eSIM and SIM tangled?
I’ve yet to meet a removable eSIM. Removable SIM, yes. Those are common.
For this thread, the iPad Pro 12.9” 5th gen model has SIM support in various places, including the SIM-only A2462 model for China mainland.

No eSIM with A2452.
Support for eSIM is very far from ubiquitous for devices sold in China mainland.
The iPad 10th gen is the first Apple device sold in China mainland with eSIM, and with China Unicom as the carrier. (Apple announcement)
Ensure that you are using an eSIM explicitly provisioned for Mobile Internet - as the majority of mobile phone eSIMs are not compatible (or correctly provided for) tablet computers or mobile broadband routers (a.k.a. MiFi).
Contact your chosen Cellular Operator to explicitly confirm compatibility with your iPad.
