Audio such as the noises made when you move the ‘cursor’ works, previews on netflix/streaming platforms work, but when I actually play the film/series there is no sound at all. I’ve fully reset the apple tv and re logged into everything, I’ve followed any online advice and it still isn’t fixed

What do you have for audio in this setup? Do you use the TV’s built-in speakers, or something else (soundbar, AV receiver, other amp, smart speakers, etc.)?
The system sounds and preview may play in Stereo, while the streaming services main content may play in more complex audio (surround sound or Dolby Atmos), which perhaps is not supported by all of the setup.
If your audio setup has Left and Right speakers only, then set Apple TV to Audio Format: Stereo.

I use the TV built in speakers. I have been through the audio settings and changed the format etc just to check but that didn’t work either.
How can I fix no sound on Apple TV when streaming?
