Apple TV 4k does not turning off TV

Hi, all.

My Apple TV 4k is turning on TV normally, but it is not turning off. I've checked the settings, everything is fine, I'm using a HDMI 2.0 cable and it is connected on a HDMI ARC port.

Could you help me, please?

Regards.

  • Verify that HDMI-CEC is set active on both devices. For Apple TV: Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Control TVs and Receivers﹥On. For your TV: See its manual. Some brands may use their own trade name for CEC technology.
  • Verify that the TV supports being turned off by other devices over HDMI. Each TV manufacturer can decide which of the possible CEC functions they would like to implement. Nothing is mandatory. There are no guarantees, beyond what the manufacturer says.

The HDMI (e)ARC port and connection is specifically intended for the connection between the TV and an external audio system, not media boxes per se. (However, with HomePod speakers, the Apple TV box can be the audio processing unit [2] for a TV.)

The HDMI (e)ARC port would otherwise function as a regular HDMI port.

The Apple TV configuration is correct. I read the TV manual and there is nothing specific about CEC (this tecnology is called SimpLink on LG TVs), it just ask to verify if the HDMI cable is compatible with CEC (it is).

But still not working. Apple TV is connected on HDMI1-ARC, and my home theather is connected on HDMI1. I can turn on TV and home theather using Apple TV remote, but I can't turn it off.
