Recurring Apple TV 4K 4th Gen (Ethernet)Recovery Loop After Power Outages

Since a recent power outage, my Apple TV has been consistently failing to boot properly. Instead of starting normally, it displays the recovery screen with three options: Reset All Settings, Restore, and Restart. Selecting Restart temporarily resolves the issue and the system boots into the OS.


However, after the next power outage, the same recovery screen appears—but this time the remote stops responding, making it impossible to select any option. I have had to visit the Apple service center twice due to this exact issue.


• The first replacement unit also showed the same behavior after just one week.


• I received the second replacement unit on 25th July 2025, and unfortunately, it has already shown this issue twice within just a few days.


• When the recovery screen appears and the remote doesn’t respond, I’m left with no way to recover the system myself.


I’m not using any beta firmware. The warranty on my original unit expires on 1st August 2025(tomorrow), but Apple informed me that each replacement is covered by an additional 90 days of warranty. While I appreciate that, I’m deeply frustrated because:


• The issue only began appearing in the last month of the original warranty period.


• Prior to that, I had no issues at all with the device.


• Now I’m stuck in a cycle of replacements that take a week to arrive, and then stop working within two weeks.


How many times am I expected to go through this replacement process? It’s become highly inconvenient and unsustainable.


I’d appreciate clarity on what’s causing this issue, whether it’s a hardware flaw, power-related vulnerability, or something else entirely. And more importantly—what can be done to resolve it permanently?
