contextual menu intermittent with files
but works in every other way, folders, etc. BT or wired.
What is the issue? Can it be fixed? Or is it fixed in later OS?

if I right click a file in Finder in an attempt to email it, the contextual menu won't hold long enough for me to select share/email. Its intermittent.
But any other use of a contextual menu is fine.
Including right click to share a Folder with email.
Try control-click. Same problem?
Control-click works on all Macs and with all input devices. That option does not appear in Trackpad Settings / Preferences.
Clearly what you describe should not happen, and suggests some third party system modification is conflicting with the normal contextual menu behavior.
yes, same issue.
makes no sense that it is intermittent.
when I boot in Safe, the issue is gone. So, yes, must be 3rd party.
The only 3rd party key mod I have is Karabiner. Perhaps a recent update is buggy.
but I will probably update to Sequoia in the next few days and perhaps that will kill the bug.

I do not understand what that means.
Using a Magic Trackpad 2? In Trackpad Settings, try selecting a different gesture, such as two-finger tap.
Same problem?
all that's available is click with 2 fingers in Monterey.
