Live FaceTime photo not working on my iPhone 11

I have two iPhones both 11s and they’re both connected to my Apple ID. One is connected with my email and the other my number. When I’m on FaceTime and try to take a photo it says “this feature must be enabled on both devices” they’re both updated to the new version (iOS 18.5) and ever since I updated them both I’ve had that problem, before the update I’ve never had that problem. I’ve tried everything under the sun to try and fix it. Is this happening to anyone else?

iPhones are designed to work with a cellular connection. While it's often possible to use them without one, the results can be unpredictable. Updates can disrupt things. Apple wouldn't consider that a bug, though, as you're technically using a phone in a way they don't intend it to be used.

I'd suggest you sign out of FaceTime on the iPhone without a cellular connection and see if it works on the other phone. If it does, sign back in on "email" phone. Signing back in may trigger something that will help.
