Apple Intelligence not working for photos on iPhone 15 Pro with software version 18.5

I don't get any of the features of Apple Intelligence for photos. In general I don't find that having Apple Intelligence enabled has changed much about my Iphone. I have done everything and it looks to be done correctly - so please don't walk me through the steps of enabling it. I ran out and bought the 15 right when it came out to be first to the table on Apple Intelligence, but it's been lackluster, or is not actually working.

Which specific Apple Intelligence features were you hoping to use in Photos? Also, does other Apple Intelligence features outside of the Photos app work or not? This will help us to tell whether its installed a not working properly, or not installed at all.

I was hoping to use AI to find photos by entering a description - I saw my friend do it (on an old Iphone) and could not figure out how to enable on my phone. In general, I don't see many AI features on my phone even though it is enabled. For example, I don't seem to have visual intelligence. I do get the AI Siri color action when I use Siri, but nothing else seems different.

That would be the Visual Look Up feature that is supported on the iPhone 2nd Gen and later. It isn’t available in all regions and languages. Which are you in and using?

How are you activating Visual Intelligence? Since your iPhone doesn’t have Camera Control; it has to be done with either the Action Button or Control Center, which requires a hold and release.

If the new Siri border glow doesn’t show, does the old circle show?

What happens, when you simply enter your search term into the search field in Photos, while viewing "All Photos" in the Photos.app? Don't you get any results when entering a search term like "Newtonian riding a bike" or similar? There is no special command to search by description. We have to use the search field like before, but Siri can now understand more complex search terms.

OK I figured out how to do visual lookup with the Action button, but I still can't figure out how to search my photos with AI, and that would be very helpful.
