Extracting audio from video for song creation

I’m trying to make a song and a found the perfect audio in a video and can’t strip it from the video. Do you know how?

For iPhone iMovie, open the project and select the video clip in the timeline. Then click on the action button (the one with the scissors on it) in the lower left and tap the "Detach" option. That will separate the audio from the video.


You can then trim the video back to 1 second and export/save the project essentially as an audio project to your photos app. In the photos app you can trim out the 1 second video fragment. There may be other ways to do this, and you can play around to see.
