iPad scanning putting lines under addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses

I was trying to scan a copy of a cover letter and resume to email to a prospective employer. The scanned copy had black lines under addresses and phone numbers which did not look very professional. The lines are not there when I first scan, but they show up when I save the document. I assume it has something to do with apple intelligence adding hyperlinks but I can’t find a way to turn it off or remove. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

To prevent the automatic creation of hyperlinks, try adjusting the settings in the Notes app under Settings > Notes > Recognize Addresses, Dates, and Phone Numbers. This should disable the feature that adds lines under these specific items when scanning.

There is no such setting. Also, the correct path to settings for Notes is Settings>Apps>Notes. I think whatever AI you're using is out-of-date.
