MacBook Pro won't play Apple Music

I'm relatively new to anything Apple, but this has stumped me.

I have a music subscription and I'm able to play my songs on all of my devices, except this one, my MacBook Pro. When I try and play a song, I'm asked to join Apple Music, but I already have a subscription. It's the same Apple Music account on all my devices, so why does this happen, please?

Have you authorized the computer to your Apple ID and turned on Sync Library? See Use Sync Library with your Apple Music subscription - Apple Support.
