CF card reader not recognized on Mac mini M2 but worked on previous Mac

Hi my Mac mini m2 will not recognise my CF card reader I have tried other card readers and still have the same result, my previous Mac computer had no problem.

I am a video editor and all my footage is on cf cards, at the moment I have to use my old computer to to retrieve the files then ut them on a memory stick then transfer them onto the Mac mini, I bought the mini m2 to update to a better faster machine but I'm still using my old 2009 Mac Pro tower, please can you help me solve this issue and make my life easier.

Original Title: my 2024 mac mini m2 will not read my Lexar CFreader, on inserting the card reader into the usb port on my Mac mini nothing happens the reader dose not even light upmy previous Mac 2009 did.
