Is there a way to personalize Home's Adaptive lighting.

I want to use Adaptive Lighting in the Home app, but it's too dark in the morning. It's out of sync with daylight in my area. Plus, I need it to be a little more blue in the morning to help me wake up. Can I personalize Adaptive Lighting's timing to be more specific to my needs? Or am I required to use the Phillips Hue app to personalize my schedule?

Am no expert in this area, yet your request to the community deserves some rsponse:

Apple support's info: on how to: Control accessories with Home on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Turn on Adaptive Lighting

Some HomeKit compatible lights let you adjust their color temperature, from cool blue to warm yellow. You can set supported lights to automatically adjust the color temperature throughout the day. Wake up to warm colors, stay alert and focused midday with cooler ones, and wind down at night by removing blue light. For a light that supports Adaptive Lighting, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Home app  on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the light’s tile to show the controls.
  3. You can also touch and hold the tile, and then choose Accessory Settings.
  4. Tap , then turn on Adaptive Lighting.

Note: Adaptive Lighting requires a home hub—a device such as Apple TV (4th generation or later) or HomePod speakers."

As mentioned earlier, am no expert. Sorry nothing above seems to have helped find your answer. Perhaps you checked what's available for lighting using Siri, or automations.

Not having a similar "Home" environ to the one that you have in order to experiment: Can only point you toward what is available in Apple's extensive documentation, in which particular info. is not always easy to find. At the least, we are keeping your thread active, providing opportunities for input from those with more expertise than either of us.

Eg: says:

Adjust a lightbulb’s colour during the day

"You can gradually and automatically adjust the warmth of colour lights during the day.

  1. Go to the Books app  on your Mac.
  2. Click the light bulb’s name in the tile, then click the Adaptive Light button in the top-left corner of the buttons.
  3. The colour is cooler during the day and warmer during the evening.

To return to one consistent colour during the day, click another colour button."

It may be that it is early days, as yet, and more features will be added as the need for them becomes more apparent. Apple's feedback website: Product Feedback - Apple
