Transfer from icloud to google photos

I tested out the Apple download thing at privacy.apple.com/account, once, though not a transfer to Google, and I got an email saying it was starting. Much later (two weeks?) there was another email from Apple telling me that it had finished.

You'll have to wait for the process to finish. I'm not sure if Apple provides a means to check on the status. You can, of course, also just enable Google photos on your device and sync your photos.
