No Bluetooth devices found Mac Mini M1 Sonoma

After setting up devices for a new Denon AVR-X1700H AVR, my Mac Mini M1 failed to find my Logitech mouse. In the process of setting up device connections in the Denon, no Bluetooth devices were found for my Windows 11 Mini PC. Troubleshooting found the Bluetooth drivers in Windows Device Manager had issues. The final fix was to download new Intel drivers.

Back on the Mini, the Bluetooth connection for my Logitech MX Keys Business keyboard was working fine. But hours of troubleshooting why the Logitech mouse is not being seen has come to naught. I have:

1 Toggled Bluetooth on and off in Sonoma settings.

2 Verified the battery in the mouse is fresh

3 Have no problem with range

4 Restarted the Mini

5 Unpaired the working MX Keys keyboard, and tried re-pairing it.

- Bluetooth could not find the keyboard again

- The Bluetooth connection to the keyboard is now lost too

6 Opened terminal and ran: sudo pkill bluetoothd - and rebooted

7 In \Library\Preferences removed com.apple.bluetooth.plist and rebooted

Instructions I found online detailing removing/backing up .plist files mentioned looking for files in \Library\Preferences and \Library\Preferences\ByHost with the same name but appended with a series of numbers. None of those exist on my system.

When I open Bluetooth in Sonoma system settings, to the right of Nearby Devices is a animated busy icon, and text below says searching. It's just not found anything in the past day of troubleshooting.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Could you please explain why you are still using Sonoma instead of Sequoia? If upgrading is not an option, you could try starting your Mac in safe mode to determine if the mouse is functioning correctly. Here’s a guide on how to do that:

1. Shut down your Mac.

2. Press and hold the power button to turn on your Mac and load startup options.

3. Release the power button and select your startup disk. It is named Macintosh HD unless you have changed its name.

4. Press and hold the Shift key, then click the “Continue in Safe Mode” button below your startup disk.

So I'm a bit surprised to see such little activity in these Apple forums, or at least in the Mini thread and this Sonoma thread my original post was moved to. I love this little Mini, but being completely new at most everything Apple, I'm not quite sure where else on the web I could pose this issue and get a bit more feedback. Maybe that's the question at this point. Would anyone know where I could get a bit more input on fixing this loss of Bluetooth?
