Apple Care+ not visible under coverage to extend the warranty

I bought a Macbook Pro from Sri Lanka. I want to extend my warranty, but I cannot find Apple Care+ under coverage. How can I claim Apple Care . Is it due to region issue. How can I check? Please help.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. I already checked the above steps. In my MacBook shows as below, don't have an option to extend the warranty to Apple Care+

the additional AppleCare+ warranty must not be an option available to you in your region of the world.

All Mac include the "Limited 1-yr warranty" when purchased new.

Yours will be expiring according to your screenshot—July of 2026

You must purchase AppleCare in the country where the device was bought. However, once purchased, the coverage is valid globally, allowing you to get support and repairs in any country that supports AppleCare. Always verify local availability and terms when buying AppleCare abroad.

  1. AppleCare+ Availability is Region-Specific: AppleCare+ must generally be purchased in the country where the MacBook was originally sold. So if you bought your MacBook Pro in Sri Lanka, you are usually expected to buy AppleCare+ from Sri Lanka as well. AppleCare Products - Mac
  2. Time Limits Still Apply: You must typically buy AppleCare+ within 60 days of purchase (in some countries, 30 days). Outside this window, you’re usually out of luck—even if you’re still under the standard 1-year limited warranty. AppleCare+ see Mac - Apple.
  3. Geographic Restriction: Why You Don’t See It Now: If you moved to another country (say, India or the UAE), the Apple Support app or website may not offer you AppleCare+ for that device anymore, because it’s looking for eligibility based on your current region—not where the device was originally bought.
  4. Proof-of-Purchase Limitations: Apple sometimes requires local proof of purchase when extending coverage. If you’re trying from another country, you might not be eligible even with the receipt, especially if AppleCare+ isn’t available or supported across regions.
  5. Your Mac Might Only Be Eligible for Standard Limited Warranty: The 1-year Limited Warranty is valid globally, but AppleCare+ is not. Think of it like this: the default warranty travels with you, but the paid extended warranty doesn’t always get a visa.
