on keynote, how do i set it up so that only one item on a slide appears at a time

For a presentation, I want to be able to click and have only one item on a slide show up at a time

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 15.5

The quick way is to add each object you want to reveal, then, in the Animate tab, give each a Build In animation. Next, click Build Order and set each item to Start: On Click so they appear one by one as you present.


If you also want them to disappear before the next item shows, add a Build Out animation and place it after each Build In in the Build Order list.
