I’m trying to understand what this means and how I can bypass or fix this as I can’t find anything except two images online one of wich says to boot into efi but can’t find same images while searching for this. And it won’t let me upload pictures or video here for some reason. Can I email someone? It’s a iMac 2009

If a 27-inch 2009 iMac, they had enough issues with failing hard drives that, for a while, Apple had a Repair Extension program to cover it. That program is long expired.

To be honest replacing the whole computer would be wise. It’s 16 + years old and well past retirement age. This kind of reminds me of my neighbor, he’s 90+ years old and is considering getting both knees replaced. It may be wise or doing it could open the door to lots of other problems. No right answer is there?
