The iPhone uses the account logged in at Settings ➜ Account ➜ Media & Purchases for the Music App.

Is that not the correct account?

Why does your iPhone have a different account than before, or different to what you use for Music?

Are you using Family Sharing? If so, is the account on the iPhone part of the Family Sharing group?

Who's "We"? Apple Accounts are individual and should never be shared for any reason.

Seems like we're missing some context here.

Sadly most of the content isn't here. The iTunes account was created long before iPhone was purchased. iPhone account therefore has a different account and not able to connect to Music app.

Sorry, that makes no sense.

When you setup the iPhone you are asked if you want to use an existing account or create a new one.

There's nothing preventing you from logging in with your existing account on an a new iPhone and as such access the purchases from that account.

If the old account is now different to the one on the iPhone and you want to access those purchases you woulds have to as said log in at Settings ➜ Account ➜ Media & Purchases with the old account.

This will split the iPhone and have 1 account for iCloud, message sand facetime and another account for the iTunes and App Stores.
