Touch recognized but no action on Apple Watch Series 10 46mm touchscreen

While working on keyboard, calculator or selecting menus, many a times the touch gets recognised(evident from the pop up of the key in keyboard or highlighted appearance of the menu icon), but the action is not delivered….many times I have to tap multiple times causing lot of frustration. The watch is brand new and software up to date. Is this a software issue….I tried restarting many times, removed the screen Gaurd, tried forced restart also….but didn’t fix it
