I recommend taking a free workshop at your local Apple Retail Store ▶︎ Get Started: Mac.
In this live interactive workshop, you will learn the essentials to get the most out of your Mac.
They’ll start with settings and show you how to navigate everyday features with ease.
Then you’ll explore how to customize your Mac so you can work and create the way you want.
They’ll even share our favorite shortcuts for staying organized and fun ways to search with Siri.
Welcome to Apple! 👋🏼😉
There is one item missing from the link @BobTheFisherman provided......another way of Right-clicking is by using Control + click (works with mouse or trackpad).
Also, make sure you always have frequent & regular backups if you value your data. With the newer Macs it is unlikely you will be able to recover any data from the internal SSD (even by a professional data recovery service) if something goes wrong. This is due to all of the hardware, software, and security changes.
I also highly recommend everyone read the following article which can help to keep your Mac running smoothly & safely (it applies equally well to Windows as well these days):
Effective defenses against malware and other threats - Apple Community
Edit: If you have trouble using the Haptic Trackpad, then you may want to turn off the "Force Click & Haptic Feedback" option in the Trackpad System Settings. The Apple Haptic Trackpad take a lot of practice to manage the various click features. I've never been able to master it so I have trouble with click & dragging items.
