Unable to activate IPod 7th Generation
I bought a new IPod Touch 7 last December, and it worked great. 3 days ago, I reset it to put in different music. It would not activate by Wifi. It has been giving me the same error message; the activation server is n't working. Using ITunes, I get a different error message. It won't activate because "the activation information is invalid". I've spent hours trying to fix this bug. I found the cause. The unit is definitely an IPod 7. The reset procedure is the same as the IPod 7, which is different from the other IPods, but the serial number is for an IPod 5. Clearly this is a production problem, and I suspect not an isolated one. It certainly would explain the problems with activation. I took the unit to the Apple Store, and they basically said, "Sorry Charlie".
Just want folks to know that Apple does n't support their products even when such a grossly negligent production problem is so apparent.
