MacOS 14.7.5 (23H527) 'Mic Mode' icon causing dropouts in Reason 13 with TASCAM US-16x08

"Mic Mode" blinking and causing dropouts in Reason 13, MacOs 14.7.5 (23H527), TASCAM US-16x08, 16 ASIO inputs. When I first fired up my computer, there was no such yellow icon on top right of screen. Some update must have enabled this balonkey. It causes seemingly random dropouts and audio cut-outs, while simultaneously blinking up to several times in a row. Reason support said it is MacOS causing the icon to appear. Apple Support said it is Reason causing it to appear. Please let me disable this buggy "feature."

The current stable release of Somoma including bug fixes, security updates is macOS 14.7.6 - I would start there

I have not updated to Mac OS 15 because it has AI "features" that I do not want. I will try updating to the newest version of 14 (not sure why it did not download automatically). I should also mention that I am using an OTG adapter with the TASCAM.
