i cant remove my old device,im also trying to temive someone from my apple famiku gor months now,its not going

Remove a member from a family group · Go to Settings > Family. · Tap [member's name], then tap Remove [member's name] from Family.
Leave or remove a member from a Family Sharing group ...
Start by updating to the latest iOS 18.5 then try again, and if issues persist post back.
If the device is removed from an account after it is erased, Activation Lock will be turned off. This allows another person to turn on and use the device.
An example of my iPhone 5 is given in the GIF below. There is no "Undo" after you remove it from your account.
