Parental Control: Screen Time App Limit Cannot Be Changed/Revoked After “Approve for 1 Day”

Summary:

I have limited my kid's Chrome for 1h per day by default.

After approving an app (e.g., Chrome) for "1 more day" in Screen Time from my iOS, the time limit becomes permanently ineffective — future attempts to:

Turn Screen Time off/on

Change Screen Time password

Change the app limit duration

Remove and re-add the limit

Reboot the device

Force-quit the app

have no effect, and the app remains accessible without restrictions for more than 24 hours. There is no way to change/revoke the approval.

Expected/Asking

  1. Parental control feature should provide a way changed/revoke the limit after "approve for 1 day" or "approve for 1h"
  2. Current approval only have options, 15min/1h/all day. For convenience, parental control feature should provide choice, as such 2h/3h/4h/5h/6h and all day. Ideally, parental control feature should allow parents to input how long she/he wants to approve, such as 90mins or 100mins.

Thanks for your consideration.

iPhone 13, iOS 18
