Can't get Find my Mac working

Hope someone can help. Been struggling to enable Find my Mac (have no issue to enable Find my iPhone)

This is for a 2024 MacBook Air (with Apple silicon)

I followed Apple instructions to set up Find My Mac. Turned on Location Services. Turned on Find my Mac in iCloud.

When I verified from iPhone, it does not see my Mac.

I then went to Mac Apple menu -> click on my name / Apple account -> scroll down to Devices -> click on MacBook Air -> Find My Mac OFF

Any suggestions how to resolve this? TIA.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.5

"I then reached out to Apple Advisor via chat. They suggested to restart my Mac in Safe Mode, Find my Mac is working as expected. Thank you all."

Report this Bug and the Fix to Apple:

Do your Part: Inform Apple of this issue and the fix. Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive from its users, the more likely they will know what needs to be fixed, and what fixes to include in future macOS updates to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - macOS - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Select: "Software/Firmware Update" for the "Feedback Area"
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
