How to merge two Ipad's info?

Sorry, English isn't my first language jeje but I'll try to make this clear...

I had an Ipad Pro 10.5, I had my photos (saved in Icloud but not shared with my other devices), and a ton of art in procreate... that ipad turn off permanently after trouble with a bad chager, the special part that charged the Ipad broke... so when the battery was low and it turned off, it didn't charge again! right then I didn't had the money or trustworthy place to have it fixed...

So I moved on, didn't have money for another Ipad... until two years later... now I have a cool 12 inch Ipad Pro! (I bought used, unrelated), the thing is, I of course started using it, drawing some more and everything... Now the thing is, my stepfather grabbed my dead ipad and had it fixed because he wanted to use it! All my old stuff is there!... so... before I delete it all and give it to him... how do I merge both my ipads into one? how do I download all the stuff from my old Ipad into the new one, wihtout erasing what I have already done? I've been trying to send some things by airdrop, but it would be lenghty, I did a backup from my old Ipad to Icloud... but I still don't know how to download it on my new one... now I'm trying to update both of them so they are on the same IOS... what should I do next?

Procreate and photos are the only things that interest me!

Help please! How do I put some things on my new ipad, without deleting the ones that already there?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 18

✅ Step 1: Update both iPads to the same iOS version

Good job — you’re already doing this! Having both iPads on the same iOS version helps avoid problems.

✅ Step 2: Check iCloud is ON for Photos

On the old iPad:

  • Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos
  • Turn ON iCloud Photos
  • Wait until everything is uploaded to iCloud (might take time)

Then on the new iPad:

Go to the same place in Settings

Turn ON iCloud Photos

All photos from your old iPad will appear automatically, and your new ones won’t be deleted!

✅ iCloud Photos merges the two libraries. Nothing will be lost.

✅ Step 3: Transfer Procreate files without erasing anything

Important: Restoring an iCloud backup would erase what you already have on the new iPad.

So instead, use manual transfer — here are three safe options:

📱 Method A: Use AirDrop for Procreate files

You can export Procreate files from your old iPad and airdrop them one by one:

  • Open Procreate on old iPad
  • Swipe left on each file → tap Share → choose .procreate format
  • Airdrop to new iPad
  • Open on new iPad with Procreate

Yes, it takes time, but keeps your current art safe.

💻 Method B: Use Files App or iCloud Drive

1.On old iPad:

    • In Procreate, export files to Files App > iCloud Drive > Procreate folder

2.On new iPad:

Go to Files App, find your iCloud Procreate folder

Tap and open your old files

🧠 Method C (Advanced): Use a Mac or PC

If you have a Mac:

Use iMazing or Apple’s Finder/iTunes

ackup Procreate files manually, then drag them to the new iPad

But if you don’t have a computer, Method A or B is best.
