Message not received but there’s a reaction to it

Someone sent me some iMessages but I never received them - i have restarted, turned imessage on and off, double checked my number, and even reset time zone settings. It shows as delivered on the other person’s end.

i know this issue has popped up in the past but the weird part is that before the missing texts started happening, the last message that was actually sent and received by this person has disappeared from my end. I remember reading it and talking about it so when it’s really weird how when i go back the last text isn’t there either anymore.
