Apple TV stuck in conference mode

If anyone is having this problem, try using an old infrared Apple Remote. Some people have even managed using a smart tv infrared remote. We tried everything to reset it, and then stumbled upon a post somewhere about using an IR remote, and it worked!!!! :)
