I clicked the “unsubscribe” link through the Apple Mail feature. When I tried to resubscribe through a provider, I still do not receive their emails. If there a feature I am missing to get this fixed?

You need to check with the provider in question.
All Apple Mail's 'unsubscribe' does is follow the unsubscribe link in the email.
It's up to the provider to determine how to respond to that. Some of them will remove you from the 'active' list, whereas some will put you into a blacklist never to be contacted again. In this case it sounds like the latter, in which case you need to check with the provider on how to remove your address from the blacklist.
