Apple watch cellular compatibility across Korea and the Philippines

Hi! I’m planning to get an apple watch cellular model in the Philippines, activating the local globe esim. However, I‘m wondering if it’d be possible for me to use esims in other countries(specifically, Korea), as I’d be going back within 3 years. Based on what I know, there are two “models” of apple watch regarding this, the US region and the rest of the world; and if im not mistaken, Korea and Philippines belong to one and they should be compatible. I would like to have confirmation regarding this. Also, if it turns out to be not possible, are there any decent ways to go about this other than selling the used apple watch locally in the Philippines and buying a new one when I go back? Thank you!
