Gradient issue in Motion

Hi all,

I must be missing something really simple here. How can my gradient look good in the little inspector window but in the actual viewer look just like two colors slapped together? I've played around with the inspector but can't make it look significantly smoother, can someone explain this to me? Thanks!

Your Start and End parameters only provide a transition distance of 200 pixels. Since your project is 2160, increase the Start Y to 1080 and decrease the End Y to -1080 for a smooth full screen gradient.

You can use these to point positions to create any direction and/or "compression"/"expansion" of the gradient transition.

There is an Onscreen Control (select the Gradient then select Adjust Item from the "Tools" menu — at the bottom left corner of the Canvas pane).
