Apple Music error 13014 on Windows 11

I am fighting with this error for three hours now, I do not have any other ideas.

  • I have tried login/logout,
  • I have removed Apple Music folders, although it had blocked permissions for some reason,
  • I have reinstalled app few times.

I have tried to move data folders to some other locations, it was set back to the default Music/Apple Music

The outcome is the same all the time 13014.

Hi.

Error 13014 usually means there’s a permissions or data problem with Apple Music on Windows

Since you’ve reinstalled and moved folders, try checking if your Windows user account has full control over the Apple Music folders. Right-click the folder go to Properties, then Security

Also, try running Apple Music as Administrator

You can also clear the app cache by deleting everything inside:

C:\Users<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\Apple Music\Cache

Make sure Apple Music is closed before you do this

If it still doesn’t work reaching out to Apple Support is probably the next step

Hope this helps!

The problem is OneDrive tries to sync AppleMusic folder inside default Music folder/Library on Windows.

Music folder/library in Windows goes to OneDrive to backup, and Apple Music do not allow to move user files anywhere. It must be in Windows Music Folder that's why there is an error.

There are 2 choises:

  1. do not use Apple Music on Windows 11
  2. do not sync Windows Music folder to OneDrive

Why those files -user profile- is stored in Music Library
