How can I stop my iPhone Mail from flashing?

Whenever I open the default Mail app on iPhone, it blinks/flashes. It doesn’t matter which email account I select in the app. It shows that the app is “Connecting…” as it updates or loads the new mail and keeps flashing. I don’t have any outdated reminders. The blinking happens in All Mail and individual mailboxes. I’ve checked all of the mail settings.

I really need this glitchy thing to stop, especially because the blinking is getting worse and it’s really annoying. I’ve tried many of the solutions I’ve seen online and none of them make a difference. Help!

What, specifically, is 'it'?

Your screen? the list of messages? your camera flash LED?

As written, it isn't clear what you're experiencing, which makes it hard to diagnose and fix.

Off-hand, my mind went to the camera LED, which may be a facet of your notifications and/or accessibility settings (e.g. there's an option to flash the LED instead of playing a sound, which is beneficial to hard-of-hearing users).

Without knowing if 'it' is the LED you're referring to, it's impossible to know if I'm on the right track.

I'm saying that when I open the app, it looks like it's loading and it blinks every second or so in a way that looks like the screen is jumping (?). This is not the case with any other apps. Again, I've tried what I said in the post, like checking the Reminders, and I've tried deleting more mail across accounts, I've updated the app, and so on. Yesterday, I got it so stop by rebooting the phone, but I'd like to know what the issue could be.
