MacBook Air M2 Randomly Shutting Down – Issue Still Not Resolved After Multiple Repairs
I’m facing repeated issues with my MacBook Air M2 (16GB RAM, 256GB SSD). It randomly shuts down or crashes without warning — sometimes while in use, sometimes even when idle.
My case:
- Purchased in: [December, 2024]
- AppleCare+ is active
- Already visited Apple Service Center 4 times but not resolved
- Motherboard replaced, but the problem is still there
- Apple Diagnostics show no issues
Troubleshooting I have tried:
- Reinstalled macOS (clean install)
- Checked in Safe Mode (still shuts down randomly)
- Minimal apps installed
OS Info:
macOS version: 15.5 (24F74)
Despite multiple attempts and escalations to Apple Support, the issue is not resolved. I’ve also submitted a complaint at https://consumerhelpline.gov.in after months of inconvenience.
Is anyone else facing a similar issue with the M2 MacBook Air? Any possible solution or official escalation route that actually helps?
