i use my airtag to track my car, my car is currently in the shop and has been for a week and one day now. this evening i noticed that it was completely gone from my account. like it does not show on find my AT ALL. why does it just completely remove from my account?? there’s no “last known location” or anything. just gone. i blamed the shop for messing with it and have been overthinking so much ever since. i would love some answers.

it does not show at all.. as in it looks like it was completely removed from my account but i did not remove this manually. it shows no items on my find my. just completely gone.. i spoke with apple support and they told me to check the serial number which i will be visiting the shop today to make sure my airtag is still there. but until then apple support is not able to help me.
i just bought it about 2 months ago. battery has never been replaced. it has been over a week since i’ve been near it. it is completely gone.. not “not location found” just gone. as if it was removed from my account.

The AirTag IS still listed in your “Items” tab, correct ?
