Run Disk Utility First Aid on the hidden Container. Within Disk Utility you may need to click "View" and select "Show All Devices" before the hidden Container appears on the left pane of Disk Utility. Even if the First Aid summary says everything is "Ok", click "Show Details" and scroll back through the report to see if any unfixed errors are listed. If there are errors, run First Aid again until the errors are gone. If after several attempts the errors remain, then try running First Aid while booted into Recovery Mode. If they still remain, then you will need to perform a clean install of macOS by first erasing the whole physical drive (Intel Macs only) followed by reinstalling macOS & restoring from a backup. You can generally ignore any errors listed for any APFS backup snapshots since those errors will disappear once that backup snapshot has been deleted (should occur automatically at some point....when it will happen depends on the backup software used).
You can check the health of the internal SSD by using DriveDx (free trial period). Post the complete text report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper on the forum editing toolbar.
You can try running the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected. Only a failing diagnostic result is useful.
You can create and use a bootable Memtest86 USB stick to perform a more thorough check of the memory.
Disconnect all external devices just in case one of them is causing a problem.
Back Up Right Now, if you don’t have a current and complete backup. Back up before running diagnostics or other steps. Back up now. Preserve your data. Did I mention getting a backup?
Why backups? One of the causes of crashes is failing hardware. You may already be losing your data, too.
Once you have a backup, then run diagnostics and DriveDx.
Then failing a cause there, wipe and reinstall macOS, and migrate files and documents and not apps.
This given the installed apps given various add-on cleaners can misfire, and can and have caused corruptions.
When you reload apps from known-good sources, avoid installing add-on cleaners, add-on security apps, “coffee shop” VPNs, and related.
Thanks for your answers.
I am going reformat SSD and reinstall OS. I'm thinking that there is some system file corruption that occurred due (somehow) to the logic board failure I had.
