EX24 sampler playing wrong pitched

I used the EX24 samoler to build an instrument as the regular sampler couldn't deal with the low frequency pitches. Everything works fine on the sampler keyboard but when I use mIDzi it plays wrong notes

I got it!!!!

Here’s the procedure. I’ve got separate files of notes in numerical order, produced by splitting them into regions from a single audio file. When Logic does this it sometimes calls the lowest pitch $whatecer_bio .aif so rename it to $whatever_00.aif.

  • new software instrument
  • change to sampler mult
  • mod wheel off
  • delete all groups and zones
  • gear icon top right new mapping
  • new group
  • new zone
  • zone editor
  • pitch key C2
  • key range low C2 high C6
  • turn off zone prefer splitting zones by silence
  • automap using pitch detection
  • read root key from audio analysis

At this point, if it’s first time, open library and save this as “empty sampler file”

  • drag multiple files into zone window
  • change key from bottom to top of usable pitches
  • move around any mismatched pitches
  • change length and set to forward loop
  • rename track
  • open library
  • save
