Loud click when I apply light pressure to the bottom of my M4 Macbook Air, around where the left hinge is.

When my MacBook is held sideways or upside down with the rubber feet up, applying very light pressure to the bottom of the MacBook, in the left hinge area, causes a click, this click is less prominent when the lid is opened.
The hinge's ability to function are unaffected, just want to know what could be causing this and if it could develop into something more serious.
