Lost MacBook with dead battery and Find My showing home as last location

I realized two days ago that I could not find my MacBook. Last time I remember using it was at home before putting it in my car to go to hair salon and work on it while doing my hair. I ended up not using it and stopped by Target before getting home. I cannot find it anywhere! I was able to lock it, but it probably has dead battery and Find My is showing home as my last location. Anyone thoughts? My life is in that computer and Im supposed to start school in 3 weeks 🥹

With a “dead” battery, the only way you’re going to find your Mac is with your — or your friend’s — eyeballs.

Good job locking it (presumably w/ FindMy)👏

If your life is indeed in that computer, AND you need it SOON

… suggest that you order your replacement from Apple SOONEST so that you have time to receive it and restore from a backup of your “lost” machine.

If you DO find your “lost” Mac in the meantime, you can cancel your order, or return it to Apple for a refund for 14-days after receipt.
