Mail: Format > Style > Bigger ; shortcut doesn't work

Got a Mail, incredibly small font size, so I looked for a way to make it bigger and found a very inefficient solution. Open the mail in question, go to the top bar and select:

Format > Style > Bigger. (shortcut: command !)

Now, my problem is that I had to increase the font size by like five but each time you tap on "Bigger" it only increases the size by one and the whole three step menu disappears. So in reality you have to go "Format > Style > Bigger > Format > Style > Bigger > Format > Style > Bigger" to get it to font to the size you want.

According to that same the menu you're supposed to press "command !" if you want to use the shortcut so I tried. First I thought it didn't work because of the keyboard layout I have (CH DE) so I tried a bunch of other ones. (Swiss French, Hungarian, British English, US English, US international) but non of them worked. Turns out, that's because the command key (in most of these cases) shifts the exclamation mark to this: "¨" or some other special key.

Long story short, it's impossible on a "Mac Book Air (13 inch, M4, 2025)" to press " command !" so what am I supposed to do instead? What's the real key combination?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.5
