iMovie won't play on Quick Time Player or transfer to YouTube after saving on macOS Sequoia 15.5

Problems with iMovie. (MasOS Sequoia 15.5) After making a short movie Isave it to my Mac but then it won't play on Quick Time Player (message says this is not compatible)and won't transfer to YouTube. I have played it back on iMovie and it's fine, and checked every individual clip on QTP, and they play fine, but then the whole movie seems to be a problem. iMovie won't Quit and I have to actually pull the plug to close it down (I then get a message telling me I have to Force Quit iMovie if I want to shutdown. I have managed to do the basic stuff like delete the preferences, but that didn't help. I'm hoping the community can.

By clicking on Projects, then Share Project, Social Platforms, choosing a resolution, and finally the folder destination. It's worked that way forever and ends up in the right folder with a .mov suffix.

I've just gone through the above steps and tried to play the video and got this message: The document Day 1961 Final - 1080WebShareName.mov” could not be opened. The file isn't compatible with Quick Time Player
