Original Title: i have enough icloud to backup, but it's still saying i dont have enough icloud space. I have enough iphone storage as well. It doesnt show how much is needed for the next backup either.

Upgrade iCloud Storage to Backup your iPhone:
You are looking at your local storage. You only have 5GB for iCloud Storage. So, you need to upgrade to an iCloud+ Subscription. Go Here: iCloud+ Plans and Pricing - Apple Support
For Reference:
When the iCloud Drive seems to be a bit high, you can download it all to an external hard drive, and then trash what is in there. Use my User Tip: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tip

An iCloud Subscription is paid for. But, having an iCloud Subsection is not required as an Apple customer.
Tap: See All >, and toggle it all off.
