What happen to iTunes movies in Apple TV!?

Hello everyone,

When Apple announce that the iTunes movies in Apple TV well be delete it.!! everyone talk about ( the wishlist movies ). So now i refuse to update the device until i know where i can find the wishlist.

I didn't find the wishlist in the TV app in the device (which is 1st gen Apple TV with OS 17.1 right now ), even in the app in the iPhone ( which is iPhone 7+ with IOS 15 ).. So my question is:

What the current situation in this subject right now!?

And if the wishlist moved to the TV app. Where i can find it!??

I have more than 100 movies in the wishlist and i don't want it to gone...!! 😔

There have not been announcements or other indicators that this list is coming to the TV app or is coming back in any other way. You better copy that list (type it elsewhere, or in screenshots) if you want to preserve it.

Get with the times. You are missing out on other features, fixes, security and support.

Not in the TV app. The Wish List is still in the now non-functional iTunes Movies app in tvOS 18.5. You may see the list there, but you can’t edit it anymore, nor export this information out of it.

It is expected that the non-functional iTunes Movies app will be removed in an upcoming update, as is customary for non-functional apps.

But what i get from your reply is the app still exist after they announcement after 17.1!!??

Yes, but you can’t interact with it beyond the two tabs (message about the move to the TV app, and the frozen look-only Wish List).

I know that and that one of the reasons why i ask this question.. I want to update the Apple TV but i don't want to let the wishlist be gone like that..!! i have more than or around 100+ movies.. And i don't know if it is available in the TV app..!!!

And i remember after the announcement like a month or more someone tell me in YouTube i can find it in the TV app somewhere!! 🤔.. And after search the app i couldn't find the list!!?? i don't know if he lies to me or i have the old version i don't update it yet!!! I DON'T KNOW..

I well talk about the list to Apple in hoping they listen.. And try to find a way to save it..

Thank you again friend.

That's way i keep the Apple TV not update it until i get the conformation that the WISHTLIST is back from the iTunes movie app.

I sent a feedback to Apple about this subject and i wish they work on it and do it and bring it back.

My Apple TV now on tvOS 17.1 when they announce the end of the iTunes movies app. I can buy the movies from this list but i don't know about update it..!! Because i didn't try.

But what i get from your reply is the app still exist after they announcement after 17.1!!??

OK. I think am good to leave the TV without update until Apple do something about the wishlist.. I well try to copy the list or find something help me with it. because 100+ movies is not easy to copy it. 😩
