Will changing Apple Pay card number prevent fraudulent subscription renewal?

So I have unwittingly got myself drawn into a subscription renewal service when I didn’t know this would happen, after I bought and paid outright for three months services of online training exercises.

Then after paying £22 for three months the app explained that I would be automatically renewed in October for £90!

I used their app to follow their instructions and cancelled the subscription renewal but the response was that they would inform me three days prior to renewal, which is dodgy in my view, and there was no confirmation of cancellation although when I tried to re-cancel, the link was greyed out so it looks like the cancellation was input into their system.

I have removed and reinstalled my bank card from apple-pay , and this changed the apple-pay payment code, but my question is, will this prevent them from taking out another payment in three months time or whenever? Thank You

Removing the card from Apple Pay to change the Apple Pay payment code does not stop a recurring charge. Apple Pay is no longer involved after you initiated the subscription, even if you removed every card in your wallet, the credit card will still be billed. As with any fraudulent charge you see on your credit card, the solution is the same whether you use Apple Pay or not. First you contact the merchant for resolution and if unresolved, dispute the charge with the card being billed. If you want to block any future charges, the bank of the issued card is who you would want to contact.

Since you said you used their app to cancel, it appears you are not using an in-app purchase that is managed by Apple and easily cancelled here. Apple is required to allow other companies to manage their own subscriptions, but many times this is not the best idea, since they are not as easy to cancel.:
