iPhone sluggish on Safari due to cellular data interference with Wi-Fi
I was experiencing the same conditions all of a sudden, and after many hours searching for an answer, discovered my unlimited Data plan on my Cellular carrier was not quite so unlimited, and they had slowed Cellular connections to a crawl. Even though under the strong Wi-Fi signal, iPhone is supposed to switch to Wi-Fi from Cellular, almost all internet connections keep going back and forth, and the sluggish Cellular drags everything down to a crawl. Solution: if you are connected to a strong Wi-Fi network, just simply turn off Cellular Data, and the iPhone will stay put on the Wi-Fi, and your browsing will be as good as any other device. I hope this helps.
