How to stop Reminders from suggesting dates when I type?
It's incredibly distracting and sometimes obscuring to have suggestion bubbles pop up in Reminders whenever I type a number or a word that it misinterprets as being a due date. Just typing "buy 3 tires" will summon the bubble that eagerly suggests 3:00 pm, and it won't go away, sticking by the cursor throughout the entry. Lots of my reminders happen to contain numbers in them, so this is not useful, but merely irritating. I thought I'd get used to it, but I'm just increasingly annoyed. In "Settings", it has "Adding Reminders: Show Suggestions" toggle, but this toggle doesn't seem to affect the suggestions at all. I'm not sure what that settings affects, in fact.
Someone else asked this question once, and the solution was to go to system settings > Siri and Search and disable the reminders suggestions, but neither the Siri settings nor the search settings (they're separated in new OS) offer such an option. I did find something like that under "About Siri, dictation and privacy" (???), where you can scroll to the app and deselect "show Siri suggestions in application", but again, this doesn't seem to affect anything. Can anyone help?
