Pages displays identical document names upon startup, requiring manual renaming

Pages is displaying the name of each page to be all the same, I then need to enlarge each page open to have it then AUTOMATICALLY then change to what the page was originally named. This started since last upgrade and is just a nuisance to do this each time. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thankyou as I feel I may need to wait until new update comes with this.

Try turning on “Close windows when quitting an application” under System Settings > Desktop & Dock. That way, Pages starts fresh each time instead of bringing back old window states that can show outdated names.

Another simple workaround is to open your documents directly from Finder rather than from Pages’ Recents list — that usually displays the correct file names right away.
